Play games on Netflix

Netflix members can play games on TV and on their computer through Netflix.com. This is a beta experience and not yet available in all countries or on all devices.

All games—mobile and TV—are included with your membership: No ads, fees, or in-app purchases.

Games are currently available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. More countries will be added in the future.

Can my device play games?

To play, you'll need the Netflix app installed on your TV, a stable internet connection (download speeds of 10 Mbps or higher recommended), and a phone or tablet for each player.

Netflix games are available on many recent model TVs and TV streaming devices – follow the steps below to check if your device is supported.

Check if your TV can play games:

  1. Open the Netflix app on your TV or your TV streaming device.

  2. Choose your profile.

  3. Do you see a Games option at the top of your screen? If so, your device can play games!

If you don't see a Games option:

  1. Double-check the list at the top of this article to make sure that you're in a country where games are available.

  2. If you're in a supported country, next check the Manage Access and Devices page. Tap or click the toggle next to Show devices compatible with games to see if your device can play games.

  3. If your device is shown as compatible, it may need a software update. For specific instructions, check the user manual or reach out to the manufacturer’s support team.

To play, you'll need a stable internet connection (download speeds of 10 Mbps or higher recommended).

Check if your computer can play games:

  1. Go to netflix.com in a Chrome or Edge browser on your computer.

  2. Choose your profile.

  3. At the top of the screen, tap or click Games.

  4. Check the titles of the game rows on the screen. If you see a row titled Games or Party Games, your device can play games!

If you only see mobile games:

  1. Double-check the list at the top of this article to make sure that you're in a country where games are available.

  2. If you're in a supported country, make sure you're using a Chrome or an Edge browser.

  3. If you're in a supported country and using a supported browser, you may need to update your browser.


How to play

  1. Launch Netflix and choose your profile.

  2. At the top of the screen, select Games.

  3. Find a game you’d like to play. Select it and then select Play Game. The game will launch.

    Note: If a game doesn't have a Play Game button, it may be a mobile game that you can play on your phone or tablet. Choose a different game to play on your TV.

  4. Connect phones or tablets to use as controllers.

    1. You’ll need to connect a phone or tablet for each player to use as a controller. Scan the QR code that appears on the TV screen to connect.

      1. Gamepads and other controllers aren’t supported.

      2. You may need to go past the launch screen first to see the QR code - this varies by game.

  5. Play to victory! Have fun! Or both!

  1. In a Chrome or Edge browser, go to netflix.com and choose your profile.

  2. At the top of the screen, click Games.

  3. Find a game you’d like to play. Select it and then click Play Game. The game will launch.

    Note: If a game doesn't have a Play Game button, it may be a mobile game that you can play on your phone or tablet. Choose a different game to play on your computer.

  4. Connect phones or tablets to use as controllers.

    1. For some games, you’ll use your keyboard and a mouse or trackpad. For others, you’ll need to connect phones or tablets to use as controllers by scanning a QR code. For tips on how to do this, see How to use a phone or tablet as a controller to play games on Netflix.

  5. Play to victory! Have fun! Or both!

Exit a game

  • TV: Press the Netflix "N" button on your phone or tablet, or use the back button on your TV remote.

  • Computer browser: Hold Shift + Tab and click Exit Game.

If you get a message on the screen that says “Your connection is unstable” follow these steps:

  1. Turn off your device, then unplug your modem and router from power.

  2. After 30 seconds, plug in your modem and router.

  3. Wait for your modem and router to boot and your Wi-Fi network is working again. (This may take a minute or more.)

  4. Turn on your device.

  5. Try the game again.

If you see this error, stop the game or close the Netflix app on another device in your home, then try again.

If you see this error, the demand for the game is high. Try a different game, or try again later.

If you see this error, it means the game is undergoing maintenance. Try a different game, or try again later.

Games might be temporarily unavailable while we perform updates or fixes. Try again later.

Information collection and processing

In addition to what is described in the Netflix Privacy Statement, when you use Games on TV and on Netflix.com, we automatically receive and store information about the Netflix app, device, and the Netflix account (if you are logged in) used to play the game.

If you use a mobile device as a controller, the gameplay information is linked to the Netflix account on which the Netflix Game on TV is running. We use this information in accordance with the Netflix Privacy Statement.
