You Have Unfinished Business with the ‘Boo, Bitch’ Trailer

Lana Condor is living her best (after)life.

    June 13, 2022

In 2018, Lana Condor stole hearts as Lara Jean Covey, the charming introvert heroine of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Now, she’s saying “Boo!” to a whole new character with her upcoming supernatural teen comedy, Boo, Bitch. The trailer for the series, premiering Friday, July 8, just dropped, introducing fans to Erika Vu (Condor), a wallflower who only enters the popularity game after death. Damn, does ghost life look glam on her.

Key Art - You Have Unfinished Business with the ‘Boo, Bitch’ Trailer

Toward the beginning of the trailer, Erika and her BFF, Gia (Zoe Margaret Colletti), come to realize their first and only night of epic high school partying went awry, leaving Erika a ghost. But she’s the kind of spirit who can walk, talk and bump into glass doors. Apparently, Erika has some “unfinished business” to handle — and it might just have to do with her crush, Jake C. (Mason Versaw).

“We have to figure out what’s going on with me, Erika,” says Erika in the trailer, giving Boo, Bitch its mission statement. On the way to solving this otherworldly mystery, Erika finds the best “loophole” ever: “I can stick around if I’m more famous in death than in life,” she says. This realization leads Erika on a road of fabulous outfits — think colorful lycra, statement earrings, feathers and even more feathers — and grabs at influencer-style fame (hello, cute boys and dance numbers), which are all sprinkled throughout the trailer.

Live your best (after)life with Erika this summer. Until then — watch out for ghost babies.
