    Jenna Ortega Dances Her Way into This Wednesday’s Emmy Nominations

    Also included: DAHMER, The DiplomatBEEF and everything in between.

Emmy voters had no beef with BEEF today, as the acclaimed limited series racked up 13 nominations. And in news that might make even Wednesday Addams crack a smile (on a Wednesday, no less), Jenna Ortega became the youngest Latina actor to be nominated for an acting Emmy. Wednesday received a total of 12 nods, including outstanding comedy series and Tim Burton’s first ever Emmy nomination. Speaking of comedies, Emmy voters recognized Christina Applegate for her work in the final season of Dead to Me (as they have for the previous two seasons). 

The Crown also came away with 6 queenly nominationsDAHMER picked up 13 accolades including nods for Evan Peters and Niecy Nash-Betts, and Keri Russell ran away with a nomination for outstanding lead actress in a drama for The Diplomat. And Nicole Byer made history as the most-nominated Black woman in the outstanding host for a reality or competition program category.
