‘Is It Cake?’ Will Cut into Season 2

And Mikey Day returns as a very real host this summer.

Is It Cake? is coming back for another crack at confounding contestants with confectionary arts on June 30. The family-friendly reality show is getting a second season, and contestants and judges will once again be confronted with the almost impossible task of discerning, say, a real taco from a taco made entirely of cake. It’s part game show, part baking show, and all, “OMG, there is no way that is cake!”

Saturday Night Live’s Mikey Day will return as host, and the show’s producers promise an all new lineup of contestants and guest judges. No word on whether they’ll actually get to stand closer to the cakes than they did during the first season — but, really, where would the fun be in that?

The first season of Is It Cake? Landed on Netflix’s Top 10 TV shows list in 75 different countries around the world and spent four weeks on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV list.

And, no, this article isn’t cake... or is it?
