Filming Has Wrapped on Outer Banks Fifth and Final Season - Netflix Tudum
It’s true, Pogues. Production on Season 5 of Outer Banks has now ended in Charleston, SC. The fifth and final season of the fan-favorite drama is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2026. You can see a photo of the cast on set above.

Returning series regulars include Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Drew Starkey, Carlacia Grant, Austin North and Fiona Palomo. Tony Crane and Cullen Moss will also return for Season 5 and have been upped to series regulars.

Across its four seasons, Outer Banks has received nearly 200 million views and has been featured on the Top 10 English TV List 25 times.
The Season 4 finale, which is the first feature-length episode of the show, “sets the stage for an epic fifth and final season,” Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Burke previously told Tudum.
The OBX creators discussed the series’ final season in a letter to fans back in Nov. 2024, reflecting on what working on the series for the past seven years has meant to them. It all started when they came across a photo of teenagers on a beach at dusk during a power outage.
“That photo sparked an idea for a story of four best friends who only want to have a good time all the time,” the creators say in the letter. “From this beginning, we imagined a mystery that would lead to a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship.” From there, P4L was born.
With production finished on Season 5, the endgame is in sight. Season 4’s main treasure hunt for the Blue Crown “should carry us through all the way to the end,” says Burke.
The creators have also had the final frame of Outer Banks in their minds for a while. As they told Tudum last season, “We’ve always known from the beginning what the last scene would be,” said Josh Pate.
