The food and travel docuseries Somebody Feed Phil is back Oct. 18 for Season 6, with just as much heartwarming silliness and serious eats as ever. Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal takes viewers from the seafood-filled islands of Croatia to the streets of Philly, consuming endless envy-inducing desserts along the way.

Phil wasn’t always traveling the world tasting everything delicious on the planet. A comedy writer and producer, he started his career writing on the 1980s sitcom Coach. Then, in the mid-’90s, Phil was looking to oversee a new show. In came Ray Romano, and the two hit it off. Their sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond ran for nine seasons, winning 15 Emmys (out of a whopping 69 nominations). Since then, self-proclaimed foodie Phil has ventured into travel shows — his first, I’ll Have What Phil’s Having, aired on PBS for one season, and his second, Somebody Feed Phil, landed at Netflix for the past five seasons and counting. The sixth season explores the food and cultures in cities like Hvar, Croatia; Santiago, Chile; Philadelphia; Nashville; and Austin.

In addition to his work in television, Phil also runs the podcast Naked Lunch. His forthcoming book, Somebody Feed Phil the Book, comes out Oct. 18 — the same day Somebody Feed Phil Season 6 premieres on Netflix.
