The Trailer in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window

    And there’s a woman, too.

    Jan. 5, 2022

Pour yourself a giant glass of wine — no, more than that — and press play on the first trailer for the new series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window. (Yes, it's a mouthful, and yes, you'll need to stock up on the Cab before it comes out.)

Premiering Jan. 28, the satirical series takes on the psychological thriller genre that has enraptured fiction lovers and filmgoers in recent years: Think Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train… all the girls. Kristen Bell stars as Anna, a heartbroken artist who spends every day staring out the window and sipping impolitely large pours of red. (It's definitely 5 o'clock at all times in Anna's house.) When a handsome new neighbor (Tom Riley) moves in across the street, she begins to see a light at the end of the tunnel — until she witnesses a gruesome murder and becomes obsessed with getting to the bottom of what happened. Or does she?

Think of Rear Window meets The Woman in the Window, plus a touch of wackiness from the team at Gloria Sanchez Productions (Dead to Me, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga). The darkly funny eight-episode series has enough twists to keep you guessing until the very end — and we do mean the very end. Check out the trailer below, and tune in to The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window on Friday, Jan. 28.
