If you had to ask one of the Umbrella Academy siblings for a hotel recommendation, former cult leader Klaus (Robert Sheehan) might not be your first pick. Now, ex-movie star Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) would definitely know the chicest spots in town, but luxury isn’t what the Hargreeves kids need in this sneak peek of Umbrella Academy’s upcoming third season that was revealed during the cast’s Geeked Week panel. No, these maladjusted superheroes need “a place to hide,” and that’s exactly where Klaus shines. Enter Hotel Obsidian.

“Back in her heyday, she played host to world leaders,” Klaus brags to his siblings in the video as they take in the, let’s say, gloriously dilapidated locale. “Roosevelt. Gandhi. Stalin. Gorbachev. Castro. King Olaf of Norway... and not one but two Kardashians.” Now, however, the grim lodging is a “party house” with a no-questions-asked policy. This approach is exactly what the Umbrella Academy needs, as they have time-jumped into a reality where they do not exist. In this timeline, their father, Reginald (Colm Feore), raised the Sparrow Academy, a superpowered family with serious crime-fighting cred. As viewers saw in Umbrella Academy’s Season 2 finale, the Sparrows are less than enthused to meet the rival Umbrellas.

Fans of the Gerard Way comic books will be excited to see Hotel Obsidian. The eerie haunt factors heavily into the series’ source material. Watch the clip to see exactly why Victor (Elliot Page) finds the place so weird — and check out the full Umbrella Academy Geeked Week panel for another very special sneak peek at Season 3, premiering June 22.
