The ‘Love, Death + Robots’ Volume 3 Trailer Has Vicious Rats and Cat Astronauts

    And nine new chapter titles.

It’s almost time for the latest volume of Love, Death + Robots, featuring nine gripping new stories from the Emmy-winning animated anthology series. As previously revealed, Volume 3 will bring viewers to terrifying and beautiful new settings, while also bringing back some iconic locations and characters — not to mention millions of mini-zombies.

The upcoming ❤️❌🤖installment also offers an exciting first, marking producer David Fincher’s first time directing animation. As with the previous volumes, each episode will tell its own story, weaving together fantasy, horror and science fiction to transport fans to far-reaching galaxies or comedic dystopian landscapes.

In a newly released trailer, we get a glimpse at the eerie and magical settings that await us, along with the ominous titles of each chapter. From warmongering rats to grotesque monsters (and even a cat astronaut or two), it’s clear that these nine episodes will be a roller coaster of existential adventure... with a side of twisted comedy, of course. As K-VRC puts it at the end of the trailer with a chaotic laugh, “They were mean to robots... and then robots killed them.”

Love, Death + Robots Volume 3 drops on May 20. You can check out the newest trailer below.
