Shortly before William is scheduled to meet his son’s girlfriend, Anna, he chances upon her at a work event. The two lock eyes, and it’s over — they’ve fallen for each other, hard. William is desperate for Anna, and the pair begin an illicit affair. They keep their relationship under wraps as best they can, but as William’s infatuation grows and suspicions from their partners arise, danger follows — and Anna’s long-held secrets come to light.

Richard Armitage

Armitage is best known for portraying Thorin Oakenshield in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy. He’s starred in the series Stay Close and The Stranger as well as in the horror movie The Lodge opposite Riley Keough.

Charlie Murphy

Anna is busy balancing her government job and her social affairs — like her relationship to her boyfriend, Jay, who’s close to proposing. But Anna has a lot of secrets and a mysterious past that are forced to the surface as her affair with Jay’s father intensifies. 

Murphy is best known for her role as Ann in the long-running series Happy Valley and for featuring in the Netflix series Peaky Blinders. She also appeared in the series Halo.

Jay is super smitten with Anna and excited to finally introduce her to his family. He also desperately seeks the approval of his father — both professionally and personally. But in time, he suspects something is very wrong and becomes determined to discover Anna’s secrets. 

Shah appeared in the Netflix teen movies Do Revenge and To All the Boys: Always and Forever and in the Oscar-winning short film The Long Goodbye with Riz Ahmed. He’s known for playing Kamran in the superhero series Ms. Marvel.

Indira Varma

William’s wife, Ingrid, is devoted to him and their children. She loves having her family around, but when she meets Anna, she can’t dismiss her gut instinct that something is off. Soon, she realizes her husband’s affections lie elsewhere. 

Varma is most recognizable from her role as Ellaria Sand in Game of Thrones — aka the paramour of Prince Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal). She was also featured in the series Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luther and Rome.
