One Piece Live-Action Season 2 First Look Revealed - Netflix Tudum
All aboard the Going Merry! The Straw Hats have set their sights on the Grand Line, and now we have our first sneak peek at what’s in store for them in 2026.
During the annual ONE PIECE Day celebration in Tokyo, Netflix unveiled a first look at Season 2 of the epic pirate adventure series, which you can check out above.
As revealed in the video announcement above, the series has also been given an early Season 3 renewal. Production on the third season will begin in Cape Town, South Africa, this fall, with Ian Stokes set to join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
Based on Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga series, ONE PIECE follows a daring young pirate named Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) as he sails the seas with his Straw Hats crew: swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), cartographer Nami (Emily Rudd), storyteller Usopp (Jacob Romero), and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar). Luffy dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates by finding infamous pirate Gold Roger’s (Michael Dorman) mysterious treasure, the One Piece.

Season 2, which arrives in 2026, will unleash "fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet," according to the official synopsis. "Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies."
New episodes will feature fan-favorite character Tony Tony Chopper (voiced by Mikaela Hoover), a reindeer-boy hybrid who’s as smart as he is cute.
The live-action ONE PIECE series was created in partnership with Shueisha and is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix.
Tracz serves as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer for Season 2 alongside Matt Owens.
Additional executive producers for the series include Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements through Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda.
