Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot this weekend, and the internet was blessed with selfies of the newlyweds on Benny’s Instagram. But let’s be honest, we all want more Selena content. Emilia Pérez is a musical about a fearsome cartel leader who fakes her death in order to live as her authentic self. Directed by Jacques Audiard (Dheepan), the film stars Karla Sofía Gascón as Emilia; Selena Gomez as Jessi, Emilia’s wife; and Zoe Saldaña as Rita, a lawyer at a turning point in her life. Gomez was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes, and the film went on to be nominated for 13 Oscars — including Gascón’s nomination for Best Actress. 

The Dead Don't Die

Directed by Jim Jarmusch (Only Lovers Left Alive), The Dead Don’t Die is an absurdist horror comedy about a police chief Cliff Robertson (Bill Murray) and his deputy Ronnie Peterson (Adam Driver) whose quiet small town becomes ground zero of a zombie apocalypse. Gomez plays Zoe, a kindhearted and clairvoyant citizen. The film also stars Tilda Swinton, Chloe Sevigny, Danny Glover, and Steve Buscemi.

An adaptation of Jonathan Evison’s 2012 novel The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, the film centers around a failed writer who, after facing a personal tragedy, quits his job to be a caregiver to a teen with muscular dystrophy. When the two take an impromptu trip, they pick up a wry and cynical hitchhiker, played by Selena, who challenges their world views. The film, directed by Rob Burnett, stars Paul Rudd and Craig Roberts.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation
