In a chain reaction befitting a new film from Academy Award–winning director Kathryn Bigelow, viewers launched A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE to No. 1 on the English film list with 22.1 million views in its first three days. The dramatic thriller depicts the immediate response to the deployment of a single unattributed nuclear missile and the approximately 18 minutes the upper echelons of the US government have to react. Fresh off its acclaimed debut at the Venice International Film Festival and New York Film Festival, the heart-pounding film stars Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Greta Lee, Jason Clarke, and more.

For something entirely different, viewers made it clear what they want is Nobody Wants This Season 2 — it was pushed to No. 1 on the English TV list with 8.6 million views. Fans old and new caught up on Season 1, as well, placing it at No. 9 (2 million views) on the list, where they witnessed the origins of the unlikely romance between agnostic podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and unconventional rabbi Noah (Adam Brody). Season 2 sees the couple deepening their relationship all over Los Angeles, and also features some fun new guest appearances, including Brody’s offscreen wife, Leighton Meester, as well as Arian Moayed, Seth Rogen, and Kate Berlant.

Just in time for some pre-Halloween scares, Indonesian horror film The Elixir chilled its way to No. 1 on the non-English film list in its premiere weekend with 11.4 million views. The terrifying film follows a dysfunctional family headed by an herbal pharmaceutical company owner who thinks he’s invented a traditional herbal drink to turn back the clock on aging. Instead, he’s created a potion that turns him into a zombie, and this quickly spreads to the rest of the small village.

In true-crime terror, Italy’s most notorious serial killer, Il Mostro — who incited a reign of terror between 1968 and 1985 that resulted in the deaths of 16 people — gets the series treatment in The Monster of Florence. The new four-part scripted drama rose to No. 1 on the non-English TV list with 9.6 million views.

In its second week on the English film list, the devastating documentary The Perfect Neighbor landed at No. 2 with 20.2 million views. The film primarily uses police bodycam footage to convey the escalating tension between a close-knit community and one outlier that sadly resulted in tragedy. Also in its second week in the Top 10, The Diplomat Season 3 grabbed No. 2 on the English TV list with 6.3 million views. The new season shows Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) stepping into a role she never wanted, further complicating her relationships in and out of the White House and abroad. Viewers also returned to Season 1 of the series, putting it at No. 8 on the list with 2 million views.

BOOTS is staying put on the front line of the TV list, claiming the No. 3 spot with 5.6 million views. The ’90s-set dramedy stars Miles Heizer as a closeted teen who joins the US Marine Corps and finds himself bonding with a motley crew of fellow unlikely recruits.

Keira Knightley leads the film about a journalist on a luxury cruise with the wealthy elite who may or may not have witnessed a murder on board. It came in at No. 4 (9.9 million views) on the list.

Mob War: Philadelphia vs. The Mafia debuts in the No. 5 spot on the English TV list with 4.8 million views. The three-part docuseries traces the turbulent saga between John Stanfa and Joey Merlino that took over the City of Brotherly Love in the ’90s.

For Halloween this week, Wednesday Season 2 climbs up one more spot on the Top 10 Most Popular English TV list, now holding the No. 4 spot (115.7 million views). This second season of the spooky series, starring Jenna Ortega as the charmingly deadpan Wednesday Addams, is now even closer to Wednesday Season 1, still the reigning title on the list. Nothing says Halloween quite like horror movies and shows, and Monster: The Ed Gein Story tells the shocking tale of the man who inspired many of Hollywood’s most iconic onscreen killers. The series came in at No. 4 on the English TV list with 5.1 million views.

Caramelo fetches the No. 2 spot in its third week on the non-English film list with 6.7 million views. The heartwarming Brazilian film centers on a promising chef who, after receiving a life-changing diagnosis, finds comfort in the company of a stray dog.

Viewers are checking in to 27 Nights, which spends its second week on the list in the No. 3 spot (3.9 million views). The Argentinian release, which stars Marilú Marini as a wealthy and carefree octogenarian who is admitted to a psychiatric clinic at the behest of her daughters, is based on Natalia Zito’s novel of the same name, itself inspired by real events.

Audiences are seeing plenty of No One Saw Us Leave, which takes the No. 2 spot on the non-English TV list in its second week (4.8 million views). The Mexican limited series is based on a true story and follows a young wife and mother trying to find her children after her husband kidnaps them.

Romantics Anonymous is finding a sweet spot with viewers in its second week on the non-English TV list, earning the No. 3 ranking with 2.6 million views. The Japanese series created by Japanese and Korean talents, about a chocolatier who avoids eye contact and a chocolate shop owner who is touch-averse, is a remake of the 2010 French-Belgian film of the same name.
