On the last day of Pride Month — and just in time for tomorrow’s one-year anniversary of the Young Royals premiere — we present Wilmon nation with a first look at Young Royals Season 2. The burgundy blazers are back, along with Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding), Simon (Omar Rudberg) and the rest of the Hillerska gang. 

The two schoolboy lovers aren’t exactly beaming in these sneak-peek images, however. In the Season 1 finale, Wilhelm and Simon make the difficult decision to end their relationship. After all, being the secret boyfriend to a prince facing the pressures of the Crown isn’t as cute as a Wattpad story might make it out to be. Thankfully, Wilmon is far from over. “We know you’re really curious about what’s going to happen to Simon and Wilhelm,” Rudberg said in a Season 2 announcement video back in February. “They have a special bond,” Ryding added.

In the first season, the young prince finds himself stuck between love and duty. Shortly after arriving at boarding school, he meets Simon, an openly gay student who helps him realize he’s more than just an heir to the throne. With Season 2 on the way, there’ll be even more friendship, secrets and a threat to the monarchy. Hold onto your crowns because it’s almost time for a royal revenge.
