Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas with the ‘Young Royals’ Season 2 Bloopers

From the halls of Hillerska to you.

    Dec. 24, 2022

The Young Royals cast have a very special gift for you this Christmas Eve — because it’s customary in Sweden to give gifts the night before Christmas, and we’re all for observing traditions in the name of Wilmon. Not only are Edvin Ryding, Omar Rudberg and their classmates decking the halls of Hillerska, but they’re also bringing sweet holiday cheer in the form of bloopers straight from the set of Season 2. With all their pining, don’t Prince Wilhelm and Simon deserve to let out some giggles from time to time?

Just take Ryding cracking up when he approaches Rudberg at the Valentine’s Day ball. As Wilhelm, he’s about to tell Rudberg’s Simon, “I’ve accepted that it’s over.” But he can’t get the words out without a smile plastered on his face, and Rudberg cackles right along with him. More laughs abound when Rudberg is sitting with his new Season 2 love interest, Tommy Wättring’s Marcus, who says that he thinks Simon is “so amazing” — but Rudberg can’t keep a straight face.

Malte Gårdinger (August), meanwhile, keeps getting his fingers caught in the slate marking the start of a scene. But hey, it serves August right, after all the turmoil he’s put his cousin Wille through these past two seasons!

And we can’t forget about Felice (Nikita Uggla) and Sara (Frida Argento), who struggle with managing their beloved horse Rousseau’s plaque in the stables. But they rock on, like any solid roommates would.

Plus, you might just spot some Heartstopper-like doodles of peace signs and happy tears throughout the video, animated to bring even more magical joy and show that Hillerska will endure.

And in the spirit of Christmas, do take heart: This video isn’t the only gift Young Royals will be placing under your tree. Wilmon will be back for a third and final season of the Swedish drama. God Jul, from Hillerska to you.
