The Making of ‘Fair Play’: Unveiling the Thrilling Journey with Chloe Domont

Fair Play isn’t a horror movie, but it sometimes feels like one. In building the story of a relationship upended by an unexpected promotion, writer and director Chloe Domont made sure every production aspect was in alignment. That is, the music should be discordant, the floors should be creaking eerily, and the setting itself should feel like an antagonist. “The sounds of the subway and the streets, I wanted it to feel like an assault,” Domont says in a new featurette. You can see the full behind-the-scenes peek above.

Fair Play centers around Emily (Phoebe Dynevor) and Luke (Alden Ehrenreich), a pair of financial analysts who are engaged in a relationship forbidden by their shared employer. But when one of them gets an unexpected promotion, their relationship gets pushed to the brink, threatening to unravel far more than their recent engagement. You can watch it on Netflix now.
