You don’t become the No. 1 Netflix film of all time without giving audiences a lot of reasons to “Watch It Again” many, many times over. Like one of the Grammy-nominated pop songs on its soundtrack, KPop Demon Hunters is full of “hooks” and irresistible moments that set off bursts of genuine emotion that you want to relive again and again.

At Tudum, we activated the Netflix Honmoon and asked the data spirits which scenes and moments the HUNTR/X and Saja Boys fans have been loving the most to keep KPop Demon Hunters at the top of the charts. These are the scenes you may know frame by frame, whether it’s a boy band member’s dreamy glance, the perfect dance break, a soaring moment of inspiration, or just pure hilarity and chaos.

Let’s pretend we’re on a K-pop music show and count down the most popular scenes and moments.

5. Rumi defies gravity.

In a moment of pure pop star fantasy, our HUNTR/X lead singer Rumi grabs hold of a golden ring and soars over the roaring fans as the Golden Honmoon starts to form throughout the stadium. The fact that such a perfect moment arrives while there’s a full-on demon attack backstage cranks up the tension even more.

But Rumi in flight is the center of the scene — the moment when HUNTR/X’s manager Bobby, watching backstage, shouts, “Rumi is killing it!” Of course, this golden moment doesn’t last long, but it’s the kind of scene you picture when you’re in front of the bathroom mirror singing into your hair dryer.

4. The “Golden” teaser

Watch the ‘Golden’ Music Video from KPop Demon Hunters

In real life and in the world of the film, “Golden” is a hit the moment the chorus reaches the audience’s eardrums. The teaser is the first moment we hear the shimmering intro of what becomes the movie’s core emotional anthem.

It also arrives earlier than planned. Rumi impulsively moves up the teaser’s release after feeling the mounting pressure of being both HUNTR/X’s leader and being so close to creating the Golden Honmoon that will seal the demons out of the human realm forever. She needs momentum. She needs hype. (And anyone who’s listened to “Golden” at the gym knows it’s a really good hype-up song). Releasing the “Golden” teaser early becomes her way of reclaiming control, motivated by idol ambition and half-demon desperation.

Not only is the song incredibly catchy, it’s also essential to the story and Rumi’s character arc.

3. HUNTR/X and Saja Boys battle in the bathhouse.

The bathhouse showdown is pure chaos as the two groups battle for the fans, a nonstop clashing of weapons, slippery floors, and an attack by water demons as they get through the weakening Honmoon. But there are two moments that really get the fans thrilled:

  • Jinu running down the hallway giggling mischievously after siccing the water demons on HUNTR/X. It’s the “hehehehe” that’s launched a thousand memes.
  • Jinu pulling Rumi into his chest after he notices her demon patterns through a tear in her costume. The body-check seems like a fight move at first — they were trying to slice each other up just seconds earlier — but it also almost seems like a hug, especially since it turns out Jinu used the moment of closeness to wrap her wound with a towel.

The bathhouse scene is one of the most action-packed fights in the movie, and it’s the moment when Jinu and Rumi realize they have a connection no other mortal or demon can understand.

2. HUNTR/X and Saja Boys square off on a variety show.

The rivalry between HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys kicks off on camera. Rumi, Mira, and Zoey crash the boys’ appearance on the variety show Play Games With Us!, planning to ambush them backstage — but Jinu blows their cover, inviting them to join them. The hijinks include a hot sauce drinking contest won by Baby Saja, prompting him to utter his beloved catchphrase: “Goo goo ga ga.”

1. Saja Boys perform “Soda Pop.”

This should come as a surprise to no one: The most popular scene in K-Pop Demon Hunters is the Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” performance, a joy-bomb of choreography, charisma, and thirst. And the data spirits have shed light on precisely which micro-moments pushed “Soda Pop” into the stratosphere:

  • Jinu brushing off his shoulder at Rumi, a rude yet charming gesture worthy of thousands of fanfics
  • Abby Saja’s shirt lifting just enough to reveal a flash of abs, turning Mira and Zoey’s eyes into popcorn
  • The boys making hearts out of thin air
  • Of course, the main choreography — tight, syncopated, and hypnotic enough to kick off a shoulder-shimmying dance craze

Whether or not your favorite moment hit this list, you can always re-watch the whole thing. KPop Demon Hunters is streaming now, only on Netflix.
