Get to Know Who Else Stars in Will Ferrell’s Golf Comedy Series

Luke Wilson joins as a rival golfer in Ferrell’s first TV show.

    Sept. 26, 2025

A trip to the green is in full swing in an upcoming scripted series that will star Will Ferrell (Step Brothers, Elf, Anchorman) in his first TV comedy as a fictional golf legend. Luke Wilson (No Good Deed, Horizon, You Gotta Believe) has also signed on to play his peer, a pro golfer who has beaten Ferrell’s character for the tour championship twice before.

Also joining Ferrell and Wilson are Ferrell’s Saturday Night Live castmate and frequent big-screen co-star Molly Shannon (Only Murders in the Building, The Other Two), who will play Stacy in the 10-episode comedy.

SNL alum Chris Parnell (30 Rock, Fallout) will play Anton, a PGA Tour board member and all-around jerk. Katelyn Tarver (Ballers, Famous in Love, Big Time Rush) will join as Natalie, a social media influencer and the extremely supportive fiancée of Jimmy Tatro’s Lance. David Hornsby (Scarpetta, Mythic Quest, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will play Radford, a rich Southern man who’s dating Shannon’s Stacy.

Previously announced stars include Tatro (The Real Bros of Simi Valley, American Vandal) as the son of Ferrell’s character and an incredible pro golfer in his own right, and Fortune Feimster (Crushing It, FUBAR, The Mindy Project) as Sam, a new caddie and possible good luck charm.

Executive producers include Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions; Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue for T-Street; Chris Henchy; Harper Steele; David Gordon Green; and Andrew Guest.

More news about the show is coming soon. In the meantime, get your Ferrell fix with The Other Guys, Daddy’s Home, A Night at the Roxbury, Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Zoolander, and Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, streaming on Netflix now, and the documentary Will & Harper, featuring Ferrell and Steele and directed by Josh Greenbaum.

Check back with Tudum for future updates on Ferrell’s untitled golf comedy.
