A happily married woman finds an old photograph of her husband — but nothing about the photo, or the people in it, are familiar to her. When her husband seemingly vanishes, she pieces together the clues and stumbles upon a conspiracy related to a tragedy from her past. Adapted from Harlan Coben’s book of the same name, the Polish mystery thriller Just One Look stars Maria Dębska, Cezary Łukaszewicz, and Piotr Stramowski. It was directed by Marek Lechki (Pakt) and Monika Filipowicz (Signs, 2018).

Greta’s (Dębska) trust in her husband, Jacek (Łukaszewicz), falters when she finds a mysterious photo of him that she’s never seen before. The picture is from a long time ago, and Jacek isn’t the only one in it — among those in the snapshot is a woman whose face is crossed out. While Jacek says he’s clueless about the picture’s origin, Greta’s not convinced. And when he disappears shortly after she confronts him, she’s certain the timing is no coincidence. As Greta searches for answers, she must face a traumatic event from her past — an arson attack at a concert that left her scarred and shell-shocked. Is the fatal fire somehow related to the image and her missing husband? What she finds could jeopardize her life and the lives of her two children.
